Austin is chock-full of church celebrations this Sunday, and St. Olaf Lutheran is among those joining the fun.

It’s the 25th anniversary of the ELCA’s Rally Sunday, and St. Olaf kicks off its celebration at 8:15 a.m. with a worship with the Bear Creek Boys. During that time, there will also be a children’s ministry video.

St. Olaf is participating in an ELCA-wide “God’s Work. Our Hands.” service project during the Word + Service hour and an all-day community food drive. Guests can bring nonperishable food items to give to the Salvation Army.

There will be a dunk tank to “give the pastors a baptism” for $1 for three throws. All proceeds from dunk tank will go toward St. Olaf’s Children’s Ministry. Other activities include games, an inflatable bounce house/slide for children and adults and a hog roast lunch.

If weather permits, the parking lot will be closed on Rally Sunday. If anyone needs parking assistance (to park vehicle) please contact the church office at 433-8857.
