Lyle-Pacelli volleyball team rallies past Schaeffer Academy

The Lyle-Pacelli volleyball team survived a slow start to beat Schaeffer Academy (3-8 overall, 3-4 SEC) 24-26, 24-26, 25-15, 25-15, 15-13 in Pacelli Gym Tuesday.
The Athletics (9-7 overall, 5-0 SEC) dropped the first two games, but rallied off three straight must-win games.
“Schaeffer has gotten better and we had to change some things,” LP head coach Lindsay Leif said. “It was a pretty hard fight and I was proud that we didn’t give up. In the third and fourth games, we played our game and the fifth game was a good, hard fought game by both teams.”
Kendall Truckenmiller came off the bench to serve three aces for LP and Sarah Holtz had 13 kills.
