The Austin girls soccer team gave Owatonna (7-2-1 overall, 6-0 Big Nine) a good game, but it came up short 2-0 on the road Thursday.
“I’ve never been more proud of my girls,” Austin head coach Enrique Camarena-Corzo said. “They played like a big lion tonight.”
The Packers (4-6-1 overall, 1-5-1 Big Nine) have three more road games left before they begin the postseason and Camarena-Corzo is hoping Tuesday’s effort is a sign of things to come.
“This is the game we need to play,” he said. “If we play like this, we can go far.”
