N. Luther Hanson, 88, of Scottsdale, Ariz., died at home Aug. 18, 2013.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gloria, sister, Doris Samuelson and brother, Dale Hanson of Minn., and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Kasper and Lyle; and one sister, Lorna, preceded him in death. The Hansons owned Hanson Music Studio in Owatonna, Minn. for 15 years. Upon moving to Scottsdale in 1976, he became a real estate broker and investor. He was an Army veteran of World War II during the occupation of Japan and a musician in Special Services that entertained the troops.

Graveside Service will be 10 a.m. Aug. 30, in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd., Phx., AZ. At 2 p.m. Aug. 31 a “Celebration of Life” will be at Ascension Lutheran Church, 7100 N. Mockingbird Ln., Paradise Valley. Contributions may be made to Ascension Lutheran Church.
