Inez G. Chapman, 95

Inez G. Chapman, 95, of Austin, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Prairie Manor Care Center in Blooming Prairie, MN.  Inez G. Knapp was born on Aug. 18, 1918, in West Union, Iowa, to Frank and Grace (Chapman) Knapp. On Dec. 6, 1934, Inez and Paul Chapman were married in West Union, Iowa. They were married for 56 years before Paul passed away in 1990. A member of Crane Community Chapel, Inez loved to spend time with her family, grandchildren, and friends. She enjoyed time spent at the cabin up north, where she often went fishing. Gardening and raising flowers were among her favorite pastimes. An active member and volunteer at the Eagles Club, Moose Club, American Legion, and Senior Citizens Center, Inez served as a cook at both the Moose and the Eagles for a number of years. 130830ChapmanInez

Survivors include her daughter Carolyn (Gordie) Cassidy of Austin, her son-in-law Bob (Carol) Brown of Houston, Texas, daughter-in-law Cathy Chapman of Knoxville, Ill., grandchildren Scott Cassidy, Darrin (Candice) Cassidy, both of Austin, Shelley (Rick) Cada and Shane Chapman, both of Brookfield, Ill., Jerry Urbanski and Natalie Urbanski of Knoxville, Ill.; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; special nephew and niece Beauford and Gloria Chapman of Austin; many other nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Grace Knapp, husband Paul Chapman, sons Gordon and Derwin Chapman, daughter Marolyn Brown, grandson Randy Chapman, three brothers, and one sister.

A memorial service will be held at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013, at the Worlein Funeral Home Chapel in Austin with Rev. Dale Christiansen officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Worlein Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
