Harold Theodore Cohenour, 83, of Brownsdale, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at Fieldcrest Assisted Living, Hayfield, Minn.

He was born March 10, 1930, in Wabeno, Wis. to Guy F. and Maude (McGraw) Cohenour. After attending school in St. Paul, Harold married Ruth Bain, and was later divorced. He worked as a food handler in the restaurant business. After living in Wichita, Kan. for a time, Harold moved to Brownsdale in 1995, and then entered Fieldcrest Assisted Living in January 2012. He enjoyed fishing and was a Korean War veteran, serving his country in the United States Army from 1951 to 1955.

Survivors include his children Mae (Don) Heimer of Brownsdale, Harold Cohenour of Austin, Richard Cohenour of Brownsdale, Shirley Maier of Hayfield, and Robert (Angela) Cohenour of West Concord; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; several sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents Guy and Maude Cohenour and four brothers.

At Harold’s request, no services will be held. Interment will be in Wisconsin at a later date.  Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
