George and Veleria “Larry” (Patzer) Branstad will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Sept. 25, 2013.

George and Larry were wed at Grace Lutheran Church in Austin in 1948.

George and Larry reside in Apache Junction, Ariz., in the winter and in Remer, Minnesota during the summer. Their address is 6532 Graves Lake Drive NE, Remer, MN 56672.

The couple has two children: Dave and his wife, Kathy, of Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Dan and his wife, Susan, of Owatonna, Minn. They have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
