Ernest H. Bachan, 84, of Oakland Park, Fla., lost his battle with Parkinson’s and went to be with his Lord on Aug. 4, 2013.

Ernest was born in Austin, Minn., in 1929. He moved his family to Florida in 1966. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Meredith; children, Cindee Bachan Easton and Craig Bachan; his grandson, Connor Bachan; their faithful dog Heidi, Larry Easton and Donna Bachan; niece, Nancy and Rich Prizler, Austin; nephews, Kevin and Dianne True of Hutchinson, Minn., Kertis True of Spring Lake Park, Minn., and their families.

A memorial service is set for Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013, at 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11 SW 11th St., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., with a reception to follow. Cards can be sent to 1748 NW 36th Court, Oakland Park, FL 33309. Memorials to the National Parkinson’s Foundation. Interment will be held at a later date.
