The Shooting Star Trail is ready to host its 15th annual ride this Saturday in Rose Creek.

Last year, the race attracted 175 riders. This year, owner Becky Hartwig is hoping for that and more.

“People keep coming every year,” Hartwig said. “It’s a good sign.”

There are distances for everyone; a four mile fun ride for children, 20 mile, 40 mile, 50 mile, 62 mile , and for those who are up to the challenge, a 100 mile ride.

“It’s a great opportunity for people to see the trail and community,” Hartwig said.

The ride will begin at the Rose Pedaler in Rose Creek and costs $20 per individual or $50 for a family. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. with century riders taking off at 7 a.m. All other riders will begin leaving at 8:30 a.m.
