Riverland Community College will offer students entering grades seven through 12 the opportunity to attend the Dream It Do It VEX Robotics Camp July 15-19 at the Albert Lea campus.
During the camp, participants will design and build a robot using basic and intermediate VEX mechanisms, learn autonomous programming and learn how to program robots using sensor inputs and quadrature encoders. Each day will consist of a different challenge with robotics. Students will also tour various regional industries currently suing robotics and engineering in their processes. The camp concludes Friday with a mini-challenge the participants’ family members are invited to attend.
The $100 cost includes instruction, materials, daily lunch and snacks. Registration forms are available at www.riverland.edu/vex. The deadline for registration is Wednesday. For information, contact instructor Bob Bender at 507-456-8603 or email bob.bender@riverland.edu.
