Betty Lou Leeper, 88, of Brownsdale, Minn., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Home.

Betty was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Austin, Minn., to Axel and Minnie (Orr) Olson. Betty graduated high school in Austin. She worked at Hormel Foods for a number of years, then worked at the Brownsdale Elementary School as a teacher’s aide for 17 years. Betty finished her working career at IBI Data in Brownsdale.
Betty married Fay Leeper on July 5, 1947, in Brownsdale.
Survivors include her children, Kathy Leeper, Brownsdale, Steven Leeper, Brownsdale, Fay “Baldy” Leeper, Rochester; grandchildren, Kayla Leeper, Mantorville, Minn., Elle Leeper, LeRoy, Minn., Beth Leeper, LeRoy; a niece and two nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, son, two brothers and parents.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2013, at Greenwood Cemetery in Brownsdale. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at Mayer Funeral Home. Condolences may be left online at www.mayerfh.com.
