Thanks for supporting Institute’s estate sale

It is with great and deep appreciation I once again give thanks to our community on behalf of the faculty and staff of The Hormel Institute. My thanks goes to our departed friend, Ms. Carol Landgraf, who generously gave her estate to improve the lives of Austin’s citizens through supporting the cancer research of The Hormel Institute.
I also want to thank those who worked on and supported Ms. Landgraf’s estate sale. We greatly appreciate the diligent efforts of her executors, Joe and Darlene Collins; her wise and prudent professional advisors, Webb Davis of Ameriprise and Scott Richardson, attorney; and the volunteers who managed Ms. Landgraf’s estate sale: Gretchen Ramlo, Greta Anderson, Cheryl Dunlap, Phyllis Jorgensen, DeeDee Marx, Jane Osboe and MaryAnne Wolesky. Through their efforts, the greatest possible contribution to cancer research was made. We also thank real estate broker Nancy Ulwelling and the future buyer’s agent for the pledged gift from the house’s sale to support the cancer research of The Hormel Institute.
We are honored Ms. Landgraf’s last and final gift was to give what she had to help improve the lives of people in her community. May we all learn from her excellent example that we can make a difference by making our world a better place.
In friendship,
Zigang Dong, M.D., Dr. P.H.
