Pack a lunch: The Mower County Historical Society is set for another summertime presentation at noon this Thursday.
Researcher Arthur Louis Finnell is studying War of 1812 soldiers in Minnesota and will share his findings during the third installment of the 2013 Lunchbox History Series, held at the Mower County Historical Society.
Finnell has printed and distributed information about a statewide project documenting the grave of each War of 1812 veteran buried in Minnesota, including a Revolutionary War soldier. He will discuss the project and how ordinary citizens can help to ensure these veterans are remembered.
The Lunchbox History Series is held the fourth Thursday of each month through September. The public is invited to bring lunch and enjoy a presentation on history subjects. The programs are free, but donations are appreciated.
