Local investigators believe a 42-year-old man was sexually molesting two young girls in Austin for several months, and more alleged victims are now coming forward.

Mower County prosecutors have charged Todd Richard Johnson, of Austin, with four counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with victims younger than 13. According to the court complaint, Johnson showed the girls pornographic films and engaged in sexual acts with them. According to the Mower County Attorney’s Office, Johnson’s alleged victims were younger than 10.

The complaint added Johnson tried to prevent the victims from saying anything by telling them they would be separated from their parents.

Parents and guardians found out about the alleged crimes this month and told authorities.
