A free workshop on preventing identity theft will take place today at 6:30 p.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Austin. The public is invited to attend and learn about how identity theft occurs and what to do to guard against it.

Attendees will receive a coupon for the “shredding truck” on Thursday, which will be parked in the Thrivent parking lot at 1211 Fourth St. NW from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sign up by calling 507-437-6262.
