Baseball: Vikings split with Bryon

BYRON — The Hayfield baseball team split a doubleheader at Byron (7-5 overall, 7-5 HVL) as it lost the first game 12-6 and won the nightcap 7-0 in Byron Saturday.

Sophomore Cam Rutledge pitched a shoutout win in the nightcap for the Vikings (4-8 overall, 2-8 HVL) and he went 3-for-6 with a homer and two RBIs on the day.
