Representatives from the Spruce Up Austin Committee donated a Haralson Apple tree to the Junior Garden located east of the 4-H building at the Mower County Fairgrounds. Several 4-H members were on hand to assist with the planting.

The Junior Garden held its open house on May 13 and planted a Honeycrisp apple tree, which needed a pollinator. Every year participants in the garden brainstorm for ideas in the Junior Garden.

The addition of apple trees as well as several heirloom varieties of vegetables and flowers from Seed Savers were chosen.
