Rain likely for Austin, Mower County this week

Rain drops will keep falling on local residents’ heads this week.
Austin and Mower County could get up to two inches of rain Wednesday, with a possible thunderstorm or two after 1 p.m. according to the National Weather Service. In addition, rain is likely on Thursday, turning into snow overnight into Friday, with a wintry mix of precipitation throughout the day before tapering off Friday night.
Temperatures could get as high as 40 degrees on Wednesday, dropping to 34 overnight into Thursday, with a high near 39 throughout the day. Thursday night could have temperatures as low as 30 degrees, then rising to 37 on Friday.
