Letter to the Editor
How do I begin to thank so many for so much? To the many businesses that donated goods, services and financial support, thank you. To my family, friends, neighbors, clients and strangers who donated baskets, baked goods, financial support and their time, thank you. To the bands and those responsible for making the bands sound good, thank you. And to all of the people who worked tirelessly to put this benefit together, thank you.
The best friend of my youngest granddaughter was at the benefit on Sunday. On Monday, when asked why she wore the button and necklace, she said, “because my best friend’s grandma doesn’t feel good. Since we wear this stuff, she should feel better.”
Her lips to God’s ear. Thank you everyone for wearing the “stuff.” Thank you everyone for the incredible outpouring of love and support in my effort to “Fight Like a Girl.”
