Blooming Prairie senior Jarrod Grunklee won his first match at the Class ‘A’ state wrestling meet in Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul Friday.

Grunklee pinned Allen Huju with 44 seconds left in the second period to advance to the quarterfinals at 285.

Grunklee, who is in his second straight state meet, is 21-4 on the year.
