June Balk, 85, of Milaca, Minn., formerly of Austin, Minn., passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Regency Hospital in Golden Valley, Minn.

June Avis Balk was born June 13, 1927, to John and Elsie (Olson) Day in Wheaton, Minn. June was united in marriage to Alfred “Jake” Balk on June 12, 1965, at the Milaca United Methodist Church. The couple made their home in Austin, Minn., until 1974, and June worked at Sears in Austin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jake in 1997.
Services will be on Tuesday, March 26 at 11 a.m. at Milaca United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Borgholm Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior at the church on Tuesday. Arrangements are by Peterson-Johnson Funeral Home in Milaca, www.pjfuneralhome.com.
