The Austin Police Department is on the lookout for suspects after a string of burglaries Wednesday morning.
According to the police reports, items were stolen from three locations. One victim reported the first burglary at 7:42 a.m. in the 1900 block of Second Avenue Northwest when someone broke into a car. The victim is missing credit cards, and a backpack from the burglary was found in a neighbor’s yard.
Police responded to the second report at 8:24 a.m. in the 1500 block of Sixth Avenue Northwest after someone reportedly entered a detached garage and rummaged through two cars. The third report was at 9:36 a.m. in the 400 block of 16th Street Southeast. The burglar reportedly stole four tires and rims valued at $500 from behind a house. The wheels were not visible from the street, the report says, so the victim believes the suspect knew they were there.
Police have no suspects in any of the three cases.
