Tim Davidson, 51, of Austin, Minn., died Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at the Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minn., after a courageous four-year battle with lymphoma.

Tim was born April 2, 1961, in Austin, the son of Gary and Francine (Pensinger) Davidson. He graduated from Austin High School in the class of 1979. Tim was married to Karen Schaefer on Nov. 10, 1979, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Austin. As a child, he began working at the Davidson family business, Tiny’s Body Shop, and worked there as long as his health permitted.

Tim was an avid hockey fan, a supporter of Austin Youth Hockey and a member of several car clubs. He enjoyed restoring classic cars, drag racing and dirt car racing. He also liked golfing and snowmobiling, but his favorite thing of all was being grandpa to Shelby and Jaylee.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary (Tiny) Davidson, and his grandparents.

Tim is survived by his wife, Karen Davidson, Austin; daughters and son-in-law, Sarah Davidson, Austin, Melissa and Brian Underhill, Rochester; granddaughters, Shelby and Jaylee; mother, Francine Davidson, Austin; sisters, Tammy Davidson, Rochester, Trisha Davidson, Austin; brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Dawn Davidson and their daughters, Cassidy and Allie, Austin; aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22 at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary with Father Paul Nelson officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary on Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. and for one hour before the service on Friday morning. The family prefers memorials.
