OWATONNA – The Packer wrestling team lost their Big Nine finale to Big Nine champion Owatonna by a score of 77-3 on the road Thursday.

Brennen Russell picked up Austin’s lone win with a 1-0 victory at 126 pounds.

“We ran into them at a tough time for us,” Austin head coach Bill Kinney said. “We are missing a number of kids right now due to illness and injury, so we forfeited more matches in this dual than we had for the entire season to date. We had a couple of guys that weren’t 100 percent take the mat and give it their best effort. Overall, I felt the kids battled to the best of their ability.”
