Loddy James Maly III, 58, of Austin, Minn., died February 19, 2013, at Mayo Health Systems Hospital in Austin. He was born July 19, 1954, in Austin, Minn., to Loddy Maly II and Patricia Ann Gerhart Maly.

Loddy enjoyed taking long trips with his wife on his Harley. He was a mechanic for more than 35 years and worked for Usems for 30 years.

He was awarded several certificates for working with diesel and other specialty mechanics. Loddy and Liz were married in Sioux Falls, S.D. and from a previous marriage he has two sons: Chris and Matt Maly. He loved his family and friends very much and helped a lot of people.

He was preceded in death by his father Loddy Maly II, grandparents Herman and Alice Miller, Loddy Maly Sr., Edward Gerhart, Jr. and Beatrice Gerhart, uncle Richard Maly, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Loddy is survived by his wife Liz, sons Chris and Matt, brother Dan (Barb) Maly, mother Patty Maly, stepdaughters Elisha and Jenny, grandchildren: Cayden, Paige and James Maly, and aunts and uncles.

Funeral services for Loddy Maly III will be held at 11:00a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin with visitation one hour prior to services. Interment will take place at Grandview Cemetery in Austin.
