The application deadline is approaching for college undergraduates interested in a 10-week paid summer internship offered by The Hormel Institute.

Materials must be postmarked no later than March 1 for The Hormel Institute’s Summer Undergraduate Research Experience, which runs from June to August. The annual program matches each intern with a scientist as a mentor for a summer of laboratory work in one of 12 medical research sections.

“We work extensively at The Hormel Institute to educate and develop students seeking to enter careers in science,” said Dr. Zigang Dong, executive director. “The SURE program provides college students with critical and direct experience that will help open doors for them to greater opportunities.”
