The No. 10 seeded Packers (7-16-1 overall) took a 2-0 lead when Marcus Stoulil scored on assists from Ethan Larson and Dan Larson 30 seconds into the third period, but the Wingers eventually tied the game on a goal with three minutes left in the game.

Austin’s first goal came from Trevor Stevens in the second period.

Austin senior Rainer Londino-Green had 64 saves in net and Austin had 27 shots on goal.

“We pretty much controlled the first two and a half periods,” LaRock said. “Rainer did a good job of keeping rebounds in the corner and our defense cleared their guys in front of the net.”
