Grand Meadow beats Lyle-Pacelli boys for SEC West title

GRAND MEADOW — The Grand Meadow boys basketball team clinched the SEC West Division when it beat Lyle-Pacelli 71-56 in GM Thursday.
Bryce Benson paced the Superlarks (14-9 overall, 12-4 SEC) with 23 points as GM its first conference title since 1989.
“We got off to a slow start, but the kids did a good job of buying in and listening,” GM head coach Bob Burmester said. “They’ve played hard every night and a lot of credit goes to my brother Chad, who helped out a lot to make this happen.”
David Diang led LP (12-11 overall, 10-6 SEC) with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
