Dorothy Marie Lockie, 91, of Osage and formerly of Austin, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, at the Faith Home in Osage, Iowa.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Monsignor John Hemann officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery. Public visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Dorothy was born April 3, 1921, in Riceville, Iowa, the daughter of Francis and Martha (Dettmer) Regan. She graduated from Riceville High School in 1940. On Sept. 19, 1944, she married Charles W. Lockie in Riceville. They lived in the Osage area, and later lived in Arizona, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Austin, Minn. She enjoyed painting, music, singing, ballroom dancing and horse riding.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Michael (Janet) Lockie of Austin, Minnesota; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Judy (Bill) Loucks of Manhattan, Kan.; and sister-in-law, Betty Regan of Charles City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Lockie in 2007; her daughter, Michelle Hodina in 2007; and brothers, Vernon and James Regan.
