Those ready for soldier handshakes and eating pancakes can mark their calendars for March 3.

Beyond the Yellow Ribbon of Austin is holding a pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to noon that day at the American Legion in Austin. Soldiers will be present to meet and greet from about 8:30 to 9.

Proceeds will go to support Beyond the Yellow Ribbon and its local events.
