She was born on Jan. 10, 1936, to Al and Lydia Koster in Sutherland, Iowa. Billie had nine brothers and sisters that loved her very much. As a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she loved spending time with her family and treasured having a house full of family and friends. She was referred to as “Grandma Cookie” due to a freezer full of her famous chocolate chip cookies.

She was deeply dedicated to God and she served Grace Lutheran Church in a multitude of ways, including as Sunday school coordinator and a home bound communion caregiver.
