Rebel boys top Dover-Eyota

ADAMS — The Southland boys basketball team overcame a first half 14-point deficit to beat Dover-Eyota (4-14 overall, 3-10 Three Rivers) in Adams Thursday.
Mike Goergen led the Rebels (13-5 overall, 10-6 Three Rivers) with 18 points, four rebounds and five steals and Nick Schmitz had 14 points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals.
“We played much better in the second half,” Southland head coach Jon Thalberg said. “We put on a full court press and we played much better defense.”
