LYLE — The Lyle-Pacelli boys basketball team showed some fight in a 78-70 loss to Spring Grove (10-4 overall, 10-0 SEC) in Lyle Friday.

The Athletics (8-6 overall, 6-4 SEC) pulled to within four late in the contest, but they ran out of time on their comeback.

“We had a little spell in the first half where we didn’t quite run our offense and Spring Grove is always a big mental game,” LP head coach Casey Anderson said. “We played a lot better defense in the second half and I’m proud of how the kids battled. We’re getting better.”
