Audrey A. Meyer, 82, of Owatonna, Minn., died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at the Faribault Care Center.

She was born June 8, 1930, in Austin, Minn., the daughter of Dean and Irene (Hopperstead) Hemmer. Audrey graduated from Austin High School in 1948 and married Durwood Meyer Jan. 27, 1951, and the couple lived in Austin before moving to Owatonna in 1964. The couple later divorced. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Audrey enjoyed reading and watching TV.

She is survived by her son, Richard Meyer of Owatonna; cousin Betty (and Carlton “Bud”) Cook of Bloomington; and nieces, nephews and other cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Joan Dammen.

Visitation will be at Michaelson Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, from 10 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Michaelson Funeral Home with Pastor Barb Streed officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery in Austin.
