Two local men have won accolades for their strides in agriculture.
Austin resident Dan Hoffman won the Ag Communicator of the Year award Friday at a Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation banquet in Bloomington. The award marks Hoffman as an outstanding leader in the field of communications.
Also at the banquet, Grand Meadow and Lyle high schools teacher Roger Dvergsten won the FFA Advisor of the Year award for outstanding service educating youth about agriculture.
The awards were two of a collection given out to counties across the state that recognized Minnesota’s leaders in agriculture.
