The Austin Convention and Visitors Bureau and Paint the Town Pink Steering Committee have announced an addition to the 2013 Pink Week line-up.
“Think Pink” is a decorating contest added as a community-wide effort to raise donations for breast cancer awareness and scientific research at The Hormel Institute. Decorate a building in one of the three categories — home, business or non-profit — to show support for Austin’s second annual Paint the Town Pink fundraiser.
Judges will pick a winner in each category and notify them on Feb. 1. Winners will receive tickets to the Bruins home game “Paint the Rink Pink” on Feb. 2, along with a special Bruins gift, and will be announced publicly at the game. They will also be special guests at the Pink Pancake Breakfast at St. Olaf Lutheran Church on Sunday, Feb. 3.
To enter, complete a contest application form and return it to the Austin CVB, 104, 11th Ave. NW or fax it to 507-433-1052 by Jan. 18. Indicate whether the entry is for a home, business, non-profit or more than one of those. Only registered participants will be considered for prizes.
