Jean Thomas (J.T.) Fortun, 91, passed away on Dec. 1, 2012, surrounded by his wife and daughter.

J.T. was born on Nov. 21, 1921, to Arthur and Ora Fortun. He graduated from Lyle High School in 1939. He joined the Army-Airforce during World War II and was stationed in England and France during the war.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Eleanor; daughter, Gail Fortun; sister and brothers-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Malins, Mrs. Emily Andrews, Mrs. Vi Andrews; and many nieces and nephews. J.T. was preceded in death by his son James, his mother and father and his brother Max.

A celebration of J.T.’s life will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, between 2 and 4 p.m. It will be at the home of Ken and Pam Andrews, 12905 SE 44th Court, Bellevue, Wash. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Washington Talking Book and Braille Library, 2021 Ninth Ave., Seattle, WA 98121 are requested.
