The owner of Countryside Auto just south of Austin is missing more than $5,000 in equipment after somebody burglarized his building on Dec. 4.

A Mower County Sheriff’s deputy spoke to someone from the business, who reports after closing on Dec. 4, somebody broke into the shop at 2817 17th St. SE and stole a KTM 50 dirt bike, Snap-On tools, a ratchet set, air impact wrenches and numerous other tools. The KTM dirt bike is orange and silver and has a cracked rear fender. The estimated value of all items is $5,400.

The investigation is ongoing.
