David Anthony Yerhart, 56, of Lansing, Minn., formerly of Austin, Minn., died Dec. 22, 2012, at his home.

David was born Nov. 23, 1956, in Austin to Donald and Darlene (Yanzer) Yerhart. David graduated from Austin High School and attained college certification as a heating and cooling technician. He was a local Golden Gloves Champion. He loved NASCAR and stock car racing.

David is survived by sons, David (Keri) Yerhart of Austin, James Yerhart (Jessica) of Brownsdale, Minn.; two grandchildren; mother, Darlene Yerhart of Lansing; sisters, Pam (Dewey) Reineke of New Richland, Minn., and Angie (Lane) Hall of Hayfield, Minn.; brothers, Paul (Linda) Yerhart of Wapeton, N.D. and Steve Yerhart of Richfield, Minn.; special friend Melissa Jost of Shoreview, Minn.; nieces and nephews.

A memorial service for David Yerhart will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Mayer Funeral Home in Austin.
