Glenn M. Stevens, 83, of LeRoy, Minn., died Nov. 23, 2012, at the Ostrander Care Center where he had resided for a short time.
Glenn was born Aug. 27, 1929, in LeRoy to Kenneth and Margaret (Anderson) Stevens. He attended and graduated from LeRoy High School in 1948, and entered the united States Air in 1949. He was in the 66th Fighter Squadron and was stationed in Anchorage, Ala. After serving in the Air Force he returned to southeastern Minnesota. He attended night school on the GI Bill and went into business with his father in Steve’s Garage in LeRoy. He eventually called the business Glenn’s Garage. Glenn was united in marriage to Norma Wierson at the LeRoy Lutheran Church on May 12, 1951. He was a member of the LeRoy American Legion and the Spring Valley VFW and enjoyed going fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Norma of LeRoy; a daughter, Deb (Dave) McClung of Mason City, Iowa; a son, Dave (Pam) Stevens of LeRoy; three grandchildren, Angie Olson of LeRoy, Heidi Stevens of Rochester and Justin (Kristin) Stevens of LeRoy; four great-grandchildren, Jenna and Kendall Olson and Tyson and Meah Stevens; a half-brother Terry (Sherri) Caldwell and a half-sister Jacalyn Shofe both of Burlington, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Margaret; a stepmother, Marian; a granddaughter, Ginger JoAnn Stevens; and a grandson, Michael R. Reynolds.
