NORTHFIELD — The No. 6 seeded Austin girls tennis team lost at No. 3 Northfield 6-1 in the first round of the Section 1AA tournament Tuesday.

The No. 1 doubles team of Alicia Sforza and Christine Barinka won their match in three sets for the Packers (2-8 overall).

The Packers will now prepare for the individual Section 1AA tournament, which will be held Oct. 11 in Rochester.
