HARMONY — The Southland football team closed out its regular season with a 21-7 win at Fillmore Central (2-6 overall) Wednesday.

Nick Schmitz ran for 128 yards and two scores for the Rebels (4-4 overall) and Coty Kirtz ran for 60 yards and a TD.

“I told the kids before the game to play hard and to have fun,” Southland head coach Shawn Kennedy said. “This is the first time all year we’ve had that much fun playing football.”
