Msgr James D. Habiger, 85, born Feb. 6, 1927, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012.

Service: His sister, Jean Mathews of Owatonna, Minn., is hosting a memorial Mass Friday, Oct. 19 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 810 S Cedar Ave. in Owatonna. The Mass will honor Fr Jim’s years of service to the Diocese of Winona and to celebrate his life and death.

Father Jim was the first priest ordained out of Sacred Heart Church on May 19, 1951, and enjoyed priesthood for over 61 years. All are welcome to attend.
