Ella Frances Schneider, 86, of Adams, Minn., died Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Ella was born May 21, 1926, at Dexter, Minn., daughter of John and Frances (Nutz) Vogel. She married Val Schneider Dec. 28, 1946, at St. Finbarr’s Church in Grand Meadow, Minn. They farmed south of Adams for 30 years, then in 1976, they moved to Adams. Later in 2005, they moved to the Cedar Court Apartments, west of Adams.

Ella was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Adams, where she was a member of CCW and a unit. Ella enjoyed camping trips and she liked to dance and play cards. She also crocheted.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Val; brother John Vogel; brothers-in-law Pete, Lee, Bernard, Woody Babb, Steve Rusnak and John Tollefson; sisters-in-law Agnes Tollefson, Joan Schneider, Helen Schneider, Tina Schneider, Helen Rusnak and Carol Vogel.

She is survived by her son, Melvin (Maggie) Schneider, Elgin, Minn.; daughters, Diane Schneider, Rochester and Eileen Schneider, Rochester, Minn.; grandchildren Mike, MiChelle (Shawn), Matt (Nina), Mark (Heidi), Merrideth and Sarah (Roger); great-grandchildren, Ella, Noah, Ty, Eli, Tessa, Philip, Erik, Cassandra, James and Josie; sister-in-law, Margaret Babb; nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Adams, Minn., with Father Thomas Loomis officiating. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. There will be a 4 p.m. Rosary Service on Tuesday at the Adams Funeral Home where visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., visitation will also be held on Wednesday for one hour before the service at the church.
