An Austin woman was injured by her airbag Tuesday when she accidentally ran her car into a wall.

According to the police report, the 25-year-old driver accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the break while she was in the vacant lot at the 400 block of 10th Street NE. She ran into a decorative wall with her 2001 Subaru shortly before noon and complained of facial pain. EMTs took the victim to Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin for an evaluation.

The driver’s passenger, a 27-year-old man from Austin, was uninjured.
