Blossoms hold off Panthers

NEW RICHLAND — The Blooming Prairie volleyball team ended its regular season with a 25-15, 16-25, 25-20, 22-25, 15-10 win over New Richland-HEG (12-13 overall) on the road Tuesday.

The Awesome Blossoms trailed the last game 10-9 and Janelle Morem served the last five points of the game — including once ace.

Taylor Hagen had 10 kills and 13 blocks for BP (20-8 overall, 4-4 Gopher Conference).

“We toyed with momentum all night,” BP head coach Gina McLaughlin said. “When we followed the game plan and kept them scrambling in serve receive and hitting at their holes, we did a better job of earning points. They blocked our hitters which kept our attack streaky most of the night.”
