BLOOMING PRAIRIE — The No. 5 seeded Awesome Blossoms beat No. 12 seeded Minnesota State Academy of the Deaf (21-2 overall) by scores of 25-11, 25-10, 25-10 in a Section 1A West Division tournament volleyball match Monday.

Taylor Hagen had six kills and four aces for BP (21-8 overall).

The Vikings will play at No. 4 Hayfield (16-6 overall) Thursday at 7 p.m.

“We knew that tonight would be our final home game of the season and it was nice to earn a total team win,” BP head coach Gina McLaughlin said. “We are now driven for Thursday and will use the next few days of practice to prepare our best game for Hayfield.”
