Memorial services for Randy Ray Peterson, 55, of Albert Lea will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Our Saviors Lutheran Church. The Rev. James Kassera will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Randy died on Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.

Randy Ray Peterson was born on Oct. 18, 1957, in Austin, the son of Dale and Joyce (Moehnke) Peterson. He grew up in the Albert Lea and Clarks Grove areas and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1976. Following high school Randy attended vocational school in Austin for auto body and in Albert Lea for welding. He had various jobs throughout his life, most recently working on wind turbines, before he retired due to health reasons. He was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church. Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and especially, spending time with his children. Blessed be his memory.

Survivors include his parents Dale and Joyce of Albert Lea; his children Ethan Peterson of Minneapolis and Emily Peterson of Mankato; his sister Lisa Peterson of Joplin, Mo.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Randy was preceded in death by his grandparents and his uncles Riley Peterson and Frank Neal.
