The Ole Barn BBQ and Salvation Army are both missing money after two thefts were reported within two hours on Wednesday.

According to the police report, an officer took a report that a Salvation Army kettle at the Ole Barn BBQ was stolen at about 7:19 p.m. A witness reported the alleged thief as a 12- to 14-year-old boy with a red shirt, blue shorts and red and white hat. At 8:40, someone at Ole Barn BBQ reported that the business’ money bag was missing. An employee showed an officer surveillance tapes of two boys entering the business. After several minutes, one boy, possibly age 10 to 12, walked to the register, grabbed the money bag and left. Ole Barn BBQ employees are unsure how much was in the bag at that time.

While officers set up a perimeter after both incidents, they did not find any suspects. Both cases are under investigation.
