Overby sets a new course record in Lake City

LAKE CITY — A pair of Austin boys cross country runners set career best marks and Madison Overby won the girls race at the eight-team Lake City Invite Tuesday.
Overby set a new course record as she finished with a time 15 minutes and 3.95 seconds and Haley Splinter finished fourth for the Packer girls, who took third as a team.
Andrew Baker took sixth with a career-best mark and Mason Wollersheim was two seconds behind Baker in 10th place with a career-best mark of his own.
“Andrew Baker had great race today,” Austin head coach Tony Einertson said. “We asked both him and Mason to get out a little faster then they have been.”
The Austin boys took fourth as a team.
The Hayfield boys finished seventh and the Hayfield girls took eighth.
